Two Year Old Program
At Pine Grove Early Learning Center the two year old program is designed to support and reinforce the independence children this age usually exhibit. Our program provides the structure and guidance needed throughout their day as they learn to share, get along with others and perform tasks that require a longer attention span. A daily program of circle time stories, finger plays, singing, art projects and playing games help develop language and vocabulary skills, as well as movement and sensory motor skills. Monthly curriculum plans incorporate introduction to colors, shapes, opposites and beginning letter associations. The focus of the program is to develop the skills needed to ready your child for his or her next step into the three's program. We encourage a child to be fully potty trained (unless there is a medical issue) by the end of this program to move on.
Three Year Old Program
At Pine Grove Early Learning Center we realize that for most of the children this is their first educational experience. We want to create a positive approach to learning by encouraging independent work, staying with challenging tasks, listening attentively, following directions, and taking pride in a job well done. Routines will be emphasized and monthly curriculum plans will encourage pre-reading, pre-writing skills, scissor cutting, letter, color and shape recognition, sorting and classifying, art projects, and many other developmentally appropriate activities. The focus of the program is to develop skills needed to ready your child for his or her next step into the four's program.
